Moderator: Amrit Williams Featured Research Director, Security, GartnerPanel 6110: Enterprise Security: From the Inside Out OR the Outside In! Amrit Williams is a research director in Gartner Research, where he is part of the Information Security and Risk practice. Mr. Williams focuses on antivirus, malware, vulnerability management, security information and event management and network security. Mr. Williams is an authority on security with more than 18 years of experience in computer, network and information security. Prior to joining Gartner, Mr. Williams was the director of software engineering for a leading network security company. Previously, he held director/senior management positions and was involved in developing leading-edge security technologies. Mr. Williams is both a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM). Moderator: Allyn Hall Director, Wireless Research Group, In-StatPanel 6150: Enterprise Wireless in the Converged World Allyn Hall is Director of the Wireless Research Group at In-Stat. In this capacity he is responsible for research and reporting on mobile consumer and business markets for services and data. The Group also covers mobile devices, wireless infrastructure and wireless component technology. Allyn has over 15 years of experience in the wireless communications industry, including serving as a Wireless Data Product Group Director with Motorola, founding and leading the Wireless Data Group at U. S. West Cellular, and creating and mentoring the operation of the Enhanced Services Business Unit for PelePhone Cellular, Israel's CDMA operator. He also served as VP of Marketing for Zetron, a wireless infrastructure provider, and as General Manager with Remtron, an industrial wireless controls manufacturer. Since then, Allyn has provided marketing consulting services to a variety of wireless device, infrastructure and service firms. Allyn has a B. S. in Mathematics with High Honors from the Florida Institute of Technology, and served in the USMC in Cryptography. Moderator: Brian Babineau Analyst, Enterprise Strategy GroupPanel 6120: Storage Networking Located in Palo Alto, CA, Brian serves as the primary analyst for Continuous Data Protection and Intelligent Information Management solutions. The latter segment includes information analysis, classification, archiving, search, retrieval and indexing. In addition, his research activities continue to focus on regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and electronic discovery and their impact on IT. With an accounting background, Brian also supports ESG’s financial services offerings to vendors and investors. Brian joined the Enterprise Storage Group in the fall of 2002 to support ESG’s Research and Institutional Investor practices. During his time at ESG, Brian has presented ESG research findings at several industry events including Storage Networking World, FOSE (Government IT Event), NAB (Media and Entertainment and RIMS (Risk Management). Before joining ESG, Brian spent three years at EMC Corporation where he held a variety of positions. Most notable, Brian worked on several software pricing and sales operations initiatives. Brian received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Marketing from Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts.
